X'mas picnic

We had a X'mas picnic at work yesterday. Staff, kiddies & family, all got together! The picnic started at 4:30pm at a park near the centre, the director and early shift staff members were off to the park around 3:30pm to set up the picnic, I was on late shift with 2 other staff, closed the centre at 6pm, then off to the park!!

There were still many families spreading blanket on the grass and kids were ruining around, everyone was enjoying the picnic when we got to the park.

This picnic was very meaningful for the centre, especially for the families and us, staff. We all had a very difficult time and stressed , everything had been an uncertain since unexpected issues happened last month. This picnic also might have been cancelled.... but we just believed that the things were looking up and still there was a glimmer of hope left for our centre..

Just a week ago, it was confirmed that our centre could continue to provide the service into 2009 and we all relieved, still continue to work on issues though.. but we all looked forward to the X'mas picnic without any worries.

The hundreds of centres are really closing down after christmas...then, here I am, one lucky person who can stay to be a part of St. Leonards with all sweet work mates and very glad to be surrounded with them.
